Drop Ship Purchasing specification underway

As many of you know, we take great pride in the transparency of our development process.  In the spirit of that approach, I'd like to draw your attention to the Drop Ship Purchasing specification currently being written for development in the 3.5 release of xTuple.  This fairly large feature is sponsored by a sole user, but we are confident that it will bring significant value to the broader user base.   The main goal is to help automate the Purchase Order creation process for businesses that Purchase to Order.  Though the sponsor is a Manufacturing Edition user, it is being designed so that a fair proportion of the functionality will make its way into the PostBooks edition.

The specification development is still in process, so now is a great time for community members to post feedback comments.  We look forward to hearing from you!
