Vice President (VP) of Marketing

Job Summary

xTuple is an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software vendor with deep vertical expertise in manufacturing, focused on bringing sophisticated enterprise functionality to small to midsized businesses.

We are searching for an experienced Vice President (VP) of Marketing in the software sector to direct and oversee our Marketing department. You will design, implement, and monitor effective marketing strategies that align with our business goals.

Employment type — Full-time (not Contractual)

Position Location — U.S. Headquarters


  • Lead and drive demand generation for our B2B software solutions across all marketing channels
  • Jointly own quarterly revenue goals with VP of Sales by contributing MQLs and improving sales conversion rates through sales enablement, product marketing excellence, and other programs you will initiate
  • Lead the creation of marketing and communications strategies and tactics that build our brands and ensure delivery of revenue and growth targets
  • Be responsible for brand strategy including brand & product positioning as well as communications strategy and execution
  • Significantly enhance Product Marketing capability, working closely with the COO and VP of Sales
  • Be a big idea marketer who is capable of leading teams to develop new strategies and tactics to build our brands, drive improved funnel metrics, and achieve high revenue growth targets
  • Develop strategic annual marketing plans that utilize aggressive demand generation programs, strategic product marketing and content plans, digital campaigns, event/experience initiatives, and comprehensive sales and partner enablement initiatives
  • Develop and promote our trade show plans throughout the year
  • Ensure marketing plans are developed in a highly collaborative manner with other key stakeholders including Sales, Customer Success, and Product Management
  • Translate the marketing plan into actionable quarterly OKR targets and initiatives, keeping the team and budget on schedule
  • Ensure continuous analysis of competitive environment and industry trends

Desired Qualifications

  • 8+ years in B2B software marketing, of which 4+ were in a management capacity
  • BA or BS degree preferred but not required
  • Experience managing and developing new marketing programs with clear data-driven results
  • Experience collaborating effectively with sales to achieve results
  • Demonstrated success in driving successful customer engagement leading to customer advocacy and partnership
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing automation tools
  • Knowledge of BI tools and measurable analytics
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot platform a plus
