Where's Wally? Winding down 2014 Expo & Conference Circuit
Canadian-based partners Syntropy and Interaction Versa worked with xTuple on two successful Toronto events this fall, featuring our VP Sales Wally Tonra. In addition to the Greater Toronto Area Business Showcase in September, the team presented at a conference with BusinessVision Integration Partners (BViP) to introduce xTuple to those Sage customers with software products now in "sunset" mode.
Wally was joined in the xTuple booth by Partner Phil McIntosh (Friendly Systems) during the FABTECH Expo - North America's Largest Metal Forming, Fabricating, Welding and Finishing Event - at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta this week. As a typical job shop manufacturing company, Saul's goal with xTuple was, "How I can run the manufacturing operation with the most efficiency?"
Using QuickBooks® did everything he needed for accounting, but determining inventory and labor costs was still a messy process. With his new xTuple business management system, he was most excited about better forecasting with the full Master Production Schedule (MPS) to help prevent overtime and balance inventory needs.
"I didn't expect you guys to be up-to-date with MPS, but this MPS is icing on a cake," says Saul.

haxTuple Winner
The haxTuple prize winner was announced at xTupleCon14: Keith Rauseo of EMSEAL Joint Systems based in Massachusetts (USA) and Ontario, Canada. A semi-regular event, haxTuple rallies the open source community towards the shared goal of improving the xTuple product suite. Previous iterations of haxTuple were as a bug-fixing derby, while this year's added a wildcard introducing new technologies to community members.
