Open source community members crowd-source xTuple conference agenda to learn, collaborate and innovate
Back by popular demand, and enhancing the success of its inaugural standing room-only conference in 2013, CEO Ned Lilly invites open source ERP community members to xTuple’s week-long global user summit, xTupleCon14.
Held at the premier downtown Marriott Waterside Conference Center and Hotel nearby the company’s headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia, xTupleCon14 is scheduled for Monday, October 13, through Saturday, October 18. In response to attendees who asked for more in-depth educational opportunities, the schedule was adapted into a full week, with the addition of two days of in-depth training workshops.
Presented as the company’s “ultimate user conference,” xTupleCon brings together the world's #1 open source ERP user community, including customers, curious prospects, open source developers, value-added resellers (VARs), technology partners, and users of the free and open source (FOSS) xTuple PostBooks®.
Attendees have multiple options this year. Participants may opt to attend the two and one-half-day main conference only, held Tuesday, October 14, through Thursday, October 16. This pass includes all hour-long educational sessions, a VIP reception and surprise keynote as well as the Community Awards Dinner, the pinnacle, close-out event.
A limited number of attendees may also extend their learning opportunities and sign up for a first-come, first-served seating package of half-day, hands-on xTuple University workshops on Monday, October 13, and Tuesday, October 14, prior to the main conference.
Company staff and partners will meet during Friday of conference week, and conference attendees are invited to tour xTuple Headquarters that day. Weather-permitting, the “xTuple Open” Captain's Choice Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, October 18, at the scenic Bide-A-Wee Golf Course nearby.
During xTupleCon, participants will enjoy four keynotes from industry leaders, multiple awards honoring community accomplishments, 30 training sessions covering tracks in business management, operations and planning, and technology. For those partaking in the pre-conference deep-dive workshops, two separate tracks are offered in enterprise resource planning (ERP) business operations and xTuple open source technology.

Workshop topics include, xTuple Import and Data Migration Tools; Create and Analyze Custom BI Dashboards; Master Inventory Control and Planning; Develop Extensions for Mobile Web; Power-up xTuple Financials; and Build Custom Reporting for Desktop and Mobile Web.

Sharing issues and ideas about xTuple with a variety of people in a variety of industries and developing collaborative solutions was the prevailing response when attendees’ were surveyed on their favorite part of xTupleCon13. With an overall Excellent-Good rating of 97 per cent, participants said they were likely to attend or recommend attending xTupleCon14.
Submissions are accepted for xTupleCon14 session presentations through June 30, 2014. Speakers accepted will be notified between July 15 and July 15, 2014. Early bird xTupleCon14 discounted registration is available through June 30.

xTupleCon14 moved to the second week of October to accommodate the requests of small- and mid-sized business customers to run typical end-of-the-month processes, such as payroll, and still attend the conference.

For the first time ever, vendors are invited to join the xTupleCon14 Exhibit Hall in order to promote their business solutions in front of hundreds of decision-makers from growing companies, worldwide. Sponsors receive premium exhibit space, a session presentation and admission all week for up to two (2) representatives, for the pre-conference days as well as main conference.

Is there a Cancellation Policy for xTupleCon14?
A full refund of conference fees, less a $50 administration charge, will be issued for cancellations received in writing no later than August 30, 2014.
